MYROTVORETS site is crucial for the security of Ukraine. As reforms stagnate and deep changes are blocked, the independent citizens continue saving the country.
On the one hand, MYROTVORETS site deals with the private data of people; on the other hand those people shared their data via social networks. Besides, supporting the Russian occupation of eastern Ukraine, they get involved into the high treason, and MYROTVORETS site helps future prosecution to identify the criminals.
MYROTVORETS site is used by the Army, Police, Border Control and other governmental institutions of Ukraine, as there is no official database of war criminals.
Considering the issue with MYROTVORETS site opening access to more than 4,000 journalists data accredited by the Russian occupational authorities of the terrorist organisations DPR and LPR, one should account for the fact that those journalists violated the Ukrainian Law. Moreover, many of them depicted the war in the deceitful and propagandist way pretending they do not notice the Russian Army in Donetsk and Luhansk. Should Ukraine welcome such people?
Of course, war journalism is a profession of the high risk. In general, there is no censorship in Ukraine. But in this case sensitive issues of national security and respect of the national law are touched upon. The international experience adopts approach of journalists non-interfering with those issues, otherwise they come close to becoming insurgence / terrorism accomplices.
